On Friday 13th March, kvintas and first year students didn´t have a „classical“ school. We didn´t learn at school in a traditional way. We had a great day full of interesting facts and awesome learning at Faculty of Electrical Engineering in University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. We didn´t even thought that IT and electrical engineering can be so interconnected and also connected with humanistic studies. During the lecture we were taught about AI as a great help while studying, about a moral dilemma with autonomous vehicles, if the human kind will be saved with 3D printed food, if our shoes will be produced by micro organism. We also learned what happens with our data that we share with numerous applications every day or that everything has ever met a computer or a computer programme.

A project of racing vehicle that is built by students themselves and the races they participate was also very interesting. This year vehicle will have an electric engine.

Visiting of Faculty laboratories was also amazing. Who doesn´t want to have a pillow with a speaker inside which would whisper a nice words into a sleeper´s ears before sleeping? What about a robotic band for a birthday party?

We could see that technology and technological development awaits a great future. We might be part of it. Who knows…
