Yesterday was the "Czech Day Against Cancer", se mw and some of my classmates participated in a volunteer project. Our job was to sell flowers to people in the streets and all the money we collected went for cancer treatment in the Czech Republic.

We met at school in the morning, got special yellow t-shirts and made pairs. Every pair got 100 flowers and flyers and we started selling at school before 8 o´clock. I would say most of our students bought a flower in the morning, which great and I feel proud of us.

After our forth lesson we went out to the streets. I was personally very nicely surprised, that most people wanted to support the cancer treatment by buying a flower. It took us less than an hour to sell all of our flowers. During that time we met so many nice people who also wanted to chat and were interested in this topic of cancer treatment. Few strangers didn´t want to buy the flower and were mean, but that´s something we unfortunately have to count with.

I am so glad, that I could help a bit yesterday and I believe, that these charity events are pretty helpful and we should support them, because we never know when we may need that help from others too.
