Our great journey began at the mighty gate of our school on the 26th February. We were supposed to meet at 8 a.m., which some of us found disturbing. Despite minor difficulties with our luggage, we managed to cope with the whole situation in a relatively calm way. We drove away from the school full of excitement for the upcoming trip.
When we got off our bus, we started using the so-called snake tactics to carry our luggage to the hotel, which may sound ridiculous, but it made our job a lot easier. Once the arrival arrangements were complete, everyone dispersed into their hotel rooms. We quickly changed and headed out for lunch - a really hearty meal. Just an hour later we put on our skis and snowboards and headed for the slope to be sorted into ski groups, which went smoothly. After the first skiing training we went for dinner and a well-deserved rest.
The next morning we started with a proper breakfast and hit the slopes, but this time with the designated group that we had been associated with at the beginning of the trip. I have to say we were pretty lucky, the weather turned out beautifully, the hotel was in an excellent condition, especially from the gastronomic perspective.
Skiing became our daily routine, but what stood out was the big Wednesday cross-country skiing trip. In the morning we went to the top of Lysá hora with all the equipment, we and got a majestic view of the beautiful peaks of the Giant Mountains. The weather was great again, the sun was shining and there was not a single cloud in the sky. The mood was also very good.
After this strenuous but still amazing trip we went for dinner deservedly.
On the last day we just packed our things and again, using an excellent technique, we transported our luggage to the bus and started the long journey back to Pilsen.
