On April 8th, class 1. A, accompanied by Lucie Kerndlová and Jan Petr, went on an excursion to Prague. The weather was perfect, so nothing stopped us from enjoying a walk through the centre of the city, often nicknamed “the City of a Hundred Spires.”
David Paleček took the lead and, following the itinerary, guided us to all the planned locations, including the House of the Black Madonna, the Old Jewish Cemetery, and Old Town Square, where the Astronomical Clock was striking ten o’clock just as we arrived. At each stop, we paused to work together on a quiz question connected to the place.

At eleven o’clock, we began the English-language programme Prha hravě, which turned out to be a great success. Thanks to its interactive format and teamwork in small groups, the students were highly motivated and eager to learn more about the city.

We finished the programme at the Werich Villa and then moved on to Wenceslas Square, where the students finally enjoyed the free time they had been looking forward to and could spend it however they wished.

The train journey itself was also a pleasant experience, which was obvious from the students’ reactions - many of them even fell asleep on the way back home.
