On the 31st of March we visited the Zoo in Pilsen, especially an educational excursion with the name „Czech river“, that is in the zoo Pilsen. Our guide talked about the parts of a river – about the Trout zone without plants and with a very fast current, the Grayling zone where are very little plants and the current is not too fast, the Barbel zone with plants and a slow current and the Bream zone with lots of plants and a very slow current.

We watched fish there and we talked about them. We learned a lot of new things about life under the water surface. In the end we completed a Quiz about fish and a river - we had to describe a carp and recognize other fish.

We enjoyed this excursion very much and we are looking forward to repeating it again.
